26 weeks

Juhuuu! Trille 2 is growing! Everything is going fine and we have had 2 skype sessions the last week. It was so lovely to see her now. She is glowing. She is also very happy to see NW and how big she has grown.

24 weeks

We just received a new scan and this time it reveals that our SM has less amniotic fluids. The same happened last time, but the doctors were able to help her and Trille so it was never any danger.
I hope they can do that once again. The pictures were so unclear so its no point in putting them out here. I was so hoping to get a 3D scan this time as promised, but, it might come the next time. A bit disappointing though...

Trille 2

Here he/she is, holding up the right arm. 

Trille 2 is about 15 weeks old here.

On March 22nd is the day for the malformation scan and we will know more. 

If things are still a bit unsure at that point, we will do the amniocentesis test. 

I don't remember if i wrote this but or second triple test came back with perfect results :-D Yeay!

Ups and downs.... 17 +3 weeks

I hate the feeling of not knowing what to do or think. 
I don't always understand the reports and sometimes i think it takes a bit to long to get it explained. That leads to a few extra worries for me. 
So our little fetus has a small cyst in the brain and if you google that you will understand what i mean... This happened a few days back and it made us talk a lot about doing a amniocentesis test. We have decided to wait until after the malformation scan that is scheduled on March 22nd. 
Our double marker came back today with a good result so we don't know what to think anymore. We just want to know that our baby is okay. 


We are now 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant and soon at the halfway point. That is just fantastic and although it has been a few bumps in the roads getting this far, we are keeping our fingers crossed for a smooth road to the finish line from now on.

A few rocky days...

I don't want days like the last three have been like, because it has been horrible!
The NFT scan came out with a number that our doctors disliked and it suggested that it could be a neural tube defect. 
Dr. Google was not very helpful because it describes some really horrible outcomes and i could not even start to imagine that it could be so bad. So We have been on a emotionally rollercoaster, crying, trying to think positive thoughts and in the end not believing that this could be right. It had to be a mistake!
So our S was sent on to Dr. Lulla, which is one of southeast Asias best sonologists. The report came back today saying that the NFT was normal now and that she should be scanned again in week 18/20 to chek again for anomalies. These results must be compared to the triple marker test and then we will now for sure. 
She has also a low lying placenta this time and that resulted in strictly bed rest for her. I feel so sorry for our dear S, but she is a strong trooper so she will be fine. I just wish i could be there and help her out. Probably when trilled gets bigger the placenta will move again and change a bit in its position so she can be discharged from the clinic.

Awaiting new test results

And it takes time..... The scan was done today so we will probably get the result in 2-3 days. 


We haven't heard anything in a few weeks but that is good news :-D


But we did have a Skype session again last friday and it was wonderful. She brought both her kids along and we had fun and laughed a lot. We are missing her a lot and can't wait to meet her again in July-August. 
We also got a Christmas card that was sent with a friend that visited her earlier this year. I was so moved by her card and it made me so happy. I feel that we have a good connection and that makes the whole process so much easier. I trust her and I know that she takes good care of her self and that gives me peace in mind. It is also easier the second time around because you know what the next step on our journey will be.

Time is slow....... blahhh

No new yet! We have a new scan coming up this monday and that is the nuchal fold thickness (NFT) scan. 


But no news are good news and the wait continues....

Double marker test

Today we got the Double marker yes results and they said that it´s a low risk for trisomy 21. We are really happy about that. 

Today we are 11 weeks and 4 days. Soon its 2nd. trimester and we can't wait!

Our fantastic and important dates

Our ET was done on November 28th. 2011 and we were officially once again back in the famous 2WW. The time passed by really fast this time, we both tried to keep ourselves occupied and life with our lovely Nora Wilhelmine makes sure that´s no problem.  :-D

On December 12th, our first beta test was done, but we did not get the results before the next day. That was a very long 24 hours. 

It came back POSITIVE and the magical numbers were: 323.61mlU/ml and the doc´s said that it was a good number for pregnancy. 

The next test result came back to days later and the message from the doc´s message was clear: We are happy that your beta dt 14-Dec has raised to 664.18mlU/ml is an indication for your strong pregnancy.

Hurray! 

The next was: Your beta level dt 16-Dec has increased to 1267.0mlU/ml. 

The first scan was due on December 22nd., we were really excited and could´t wait to find out if it was one our two persons in S´s stomach. 

The report came and... S's scan was done on 22-Dec and we are happy to inform you that the scan indicates a single baby sac of approx 5.4wks. 

We were so happy! Now the biggest milestone was passed and the next one was waiting, the heartbeats. That was were it went wrong the previous time and i was so scared that it would happen again. 

The news we got on January 4th. was fantastic to receive: We are very happy to inform you that S's scan done on 30-Dec reveals a single baby sac of approx 6.3wks. Cardiac activity is very well appreciated. The liquor is adequate, cervix is adequate and the os is closed. 

I was so relived! S is our superwoman, we are all obviously a great match. 

The same day we got some other news: S is with us at SI and doing well. She is on anti-hypertensive medicine Tab Alphadopa (250mg) three times a day. With the tablet her blood pressure is very much under control and it is now 120/80mmHg. 

That was not the best news to receive :-( But the doctor promised me that it is absolutely no problem to carry a pregnancy with these tablets. So we hope that is true and hope for the best. It is obviously better for the fetus that the carrier has a low blood pressure with tablets than a high one. S was also put on a restricted salt diet.

Now she is doing fine and is home with her family. 

The next scan was scheduled to be on January 19th. And the report came back with a few pictures and: The scan reveals a single baby which corresponds to the weeks of gestation. The rest of the scan findings are very well within the normal range.

This is where we are at the moment, since we have chosen to wait to tell before we get to the second trimester I found it necessary to make this little document with the most important dates. 

Now I am trying to figure out when the next scan dates are due.
